I believe most physiotherapists have three things in common: we are nerdy, we love sports and physical activity, and we were physically injured as children and had to go see a physiotherapist. I definitely fit into all three categories.
My first exposure to physiotherapy came as a teenager after a series of significant shoulder injuries that took me away from the sports I loved and had a major impact on my life. That experience helped shape how I view physiotherapy today: at its best, physiotherapy combines evidence-based treatment with an individualized approach to help people of all ages and abilities return to the activities that matter most to them. I have been practicing in Kimberley for the past 10 years and continue to find tremendous fulfillment in helping people get back to performing at their best.
In recent years, I have developed a particular interest in the rehabilitation of complex shoulder injuries and tendon-related conditions, although I genuinely find all injuries and cases interesting. My clinical practice incorporates a variety of treatment approaches, including exercise prescription, manual therapy, dry needling, and shockwave therapy.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Caroline, and our two daughters, Allie and Julia. You will often find me in the mountains, on the golf course, or at the curling rink.
